Decent coffee, slow delivery

I ordered the Specialty Coffee Beans, a single origin bag, from DFRNT last week. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. The beans themselves are quite good, fresh and aromatic, made a nice brew. However, delivery took about 6 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long for '24-hour delivery' as they sometimes advertise. I didn't need customer support, so can't speak to that. Overall, the product is solid, but manage your expectations on shipping time.

Love their coffee!

I just got my latest order of their Filter Roast Coffee and it's fantastic! The aroma when I opened the bag was just amazing. I brewed a cup right away and it tasted so smooth and rich. I've tried a few different roasts from them and they're all so good. I'm already planning my next order, probably going to try one of their tasting packs next. Seriously, if you like good coffee, you need to check them out!

Nice matcha kit

So, I decided to try matcha for the first time and got the Matcha Starter Kit from DFRNT. It was pretty easy to find everything on their site. It came with the whisk and bowl, which was nice. I made my first cup yesterday and it was actually pretty good. No complaints, felt like a good purchase.

Good price for quality

I was looking for some good coffee that wasn't too expensive. Found DFRNT and their first purchase discount made it a pretty sweet deal. I got the Espresso Roast Coffee. It arrived quickly and tastes really good for what I paid. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Consistent quality, returning customer

This is my third time ordering from DFRNT, and they continue to be reliable. I usually get the Decaf Specialty Coffee, and the quality has been consistent across all my orders. It's always fresh and tastes great. Shipping usually takes about 3-4 business days for me, which is what I expect now. I keep coming back because I know what I'm getting. They never disappoint on the coffee itself, which is the main thing for me.

how does DFRNT coffee compare to, say, Blue Bottle? is it worth the price difference?

S Sandra 3 weeks ago
i think DFRNT is way better, especially for their single origin stuff. fresher roasts too. blue bottle is fine but this feels more special.

A Adam Nelson 2 weeks ago
it's a different vibe. Blue Bottle is more mainstream specialty. DFRNT feels more curated, smaller batches. i'd say try a tasting pack to compare yourself.

do they ever do free shipping codes? or is that usually only with a big order?

L Leah T. 1 month ago
sometimes for Black Friday or special promos, but not usually a standard code. it's usually based on order total.

i've only seen free shipping when i hit a certain amount, like 50 bucks. haven't seen a specific code for it.

are these guys ethical? like, do they source their beans responsibly?

C Carol Wright 3 weeks ago
they talk about sustainability and transparent sourcing on their site. seems like they're pretty upfront about where stuff comes from, especially the matcha.

i've read some of their info on their coffee origins, seems like they care about fair practices and quality. not just buzzwords, i think.

is their matcha like, legit ceremonial grade? seen some brands claim it but it's really just cooking matcha.

A Aaron Miller 2 weeks ago
yeah, it's the real deal. very smooth, bright green. definitely not the bitter culinary stuff.

i got their starter kit and the matcha was excellent. definitely ceremonial, no doubt. you can tell by the color and how it whisks up.
